Techtronic Industries enhances cooperative relationship with Ho Chi Minh City Hi-tech park and its journey towards sustainable future in Vietnam
On the 20th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park (SHTP), Mr. Nate Easter, Executive Vice President of Global Sourcing & Outdoor Products Operations of Techtronic Industries (“TTI") Vietnam, sent the congratulation and extended his thanks to the SHTP’s management board for the continuous support of TTI, at the same time expressed his desire to leverage their cooperative relationship.
Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) is one of three national high-tech parks established by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 145/2002/QD-TTg dated October 24, 2002, with the mission of building a foundation for the high-tech industry. Over 20 years of establishment and development, the SHTP has created a favorable environment to attract investment and develop high technology in Vietnam. SHTP is considered among the most successful national hi-tech parks.
In December 2019, TTI was delighted to receive the Investment Registration Certificate in the SHTP for the construction of a LEED Certified state-of-the-art manufacturing site – the event that marked a key milestone in TTI’s global development journey, in which Vietnam is one of the strategic manufacturing destinations of the group.
Explaining the reason why TTI decided to choose SHTP as a strategic partner, Mr. Nate Easter emphasized: “TTI chose the SHTP as the location for our most important strategic manufacturing site, because of its proximity to the Ho Chi Minh City area, logistical connectivity, access to a vast talent pool, a network of high-quality suppliers and strong commitment from the government who have been very supportive of TTI’s current and future development plans.”
