Mr. Jerry Wiggins - Engineering Director, New Product Development received the order of merit from Ho Chi Minh City leaders for TTI’s tremendous supports on controlling the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam

On behalf of 8,000 employees of Techtronic Industries Vietnam, Ms. An Tran - Vice President of Human Resources, Strategic Projects, and Mr. Jerry Wiggins - Engineering Director, New Product Development, both attended and received the city leaders' order of merit. During the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City's People's Committee leaders praised enterprises' activities, timely contributions, and active support in funding and essential equipment for the health sector during the local disease outbreak.

One of TTI's top priorities in Vietnam is to promote human development and contribute to the community's long-term growth. Hence, TTI is proud of how the management team acted during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure maximum safety for employees and their families while supporting customers and the community.

TTI and other German businesses donated much-needed German-made medical ventilators and monitors to Ho Chi Minh City hospitals in 2020.

In addition, TTI coordinated with partners and NGOs in 2021 to assist affected areas and contribute to economic recovery following the pandemic. We specifically collaborate with Habitat for Humanity to implement the "Safer and Cleaner Communities for a Healthier Life" program to create conditions for people to access clean water and train the community on hygiene issues and Covid-19 prevention measures.

Besides, we have been and will carry out many other sustainable projects to support the local community. In early 2022, TTI staff organized a meaningful CSR activity to repair houses for orphans and disabled people living at Long Phuoc Dien pagoda in Dong Nai. Employees and the management team donate money, necessities, books, toys, and clothing to help renovate the pagoda and improve living conditions for orphanages, the disabled, and other underserved people. In September, TTI awarded a study promotion fund to two hundred children from low-income families and impoverished students in the Trung An and Binh My, Cu Chi district communes. With this momentum, in upcoming time, we will continue to support the community in the future through two projects: 'Reducing Vulnerabilities to Inadequate Housing and Exposure to Health and Environmental Risks' and 'Improved Living Conditions & Settlements,' which will improve living conditions for ethnic minorities under challenging circumstances.
